Shelter Island residents and guests who are members of the Society of Friends hold their Friends Meeting on Sundays at 10:30 AM. All are welcome to attend. May through October, they gather outdoors at Sylvester Manor, 80 North Ferry Road (use entrance marked Quaker Meeting). Winter worship is held at the Shelter Island History Center. 16 South Ferry Road. Quakers, also called Friends, practice a religion of experience, a contemporary, simple, and radical faith.
