Garden Club of Shelter Island

PO Box 112
Shelter Island NY 11964

The Garden Club of Shelter Island was formed in 1934 as a result of a vision of a few women, in a world still impacted by the Great Depression. Perhaps they saw it as a way to celebrate the incredible resilience and beauty of nature. Our Garden Club can be proud of what our talented and dedicated members have achieved since then. Our efforts to enhance the beauty of the Island, support our community, and conserve our environment are evident in so many places all over the Island. Among them: the gardens we design and maintain at roadsides, traffic circles, our Library and Post Office boxes; the glorious Prospect Hill Daffodils; wreaths for the Memorial Day ceremony; and more.
