Our Lady of the Isle Roman Catholic Church is one of the 133 parishes that make up the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Our Lady of the Isle was established in 1907 in the heart of the Shelter Island Heights Historic District. It serves the Island’s Roman Catholic residents and visitors through scheduled worship and a variety of ministries, including a religious education program. Father Peter DeSanctis is pastor. The church cemetery, nestled in a rural woodland, is about 1.5 miles away. In winter Mass is held Monday to Friday, 9AM, Saturday, 4PM and Sunday, 9:30AM. Confession is Saturday, 3PM.
