Shelter Island Fireworks is a nonprofit entity that raises funds for and coordinates an annual fireworks display at Crescent Beach in honor of Independence Day. The family-friendly event, a tradition of 60+ years on Shelter Island, is usually held the weekend after July 4th. Fireworks are shot from a barge anchored offshore from the public beach, also known as Louis’ Beach.
