The Garden Club of Shelter Island was formed 85 years ago and continues to beautify the community and advocate for environmental conservation. Look for our work at: the gardens we design and maintain at roadsides, traffic circles, our Library and Post Office boxes; the glorious Prospect Hill Daffodils; wreaths for the Memorial Day ceremony; and more. The Island Gift of Life Foundation provides financial assistance and other support services to patients with life-threatening illnesses who live in Suffolk County's five East End towns.

The Joseph J. Theinert Memorial Fund honors the memory of a Shelter Island soldier who was killed in action in Afghanistan at age 24. The fund awards scholarships to students throughout the East End and provides crucial support to active U.S. service members, veterans and their families and caregivers. Please join us!

Our Lady of the Isle Roman Catholic Church, is one of the 113 parishes that make up the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Father Peter DeSanctis is pastor. The church, established in the heart of Shelter Island Heights in 1907, serves the Island's Roman Catholic residents and visitors through scheduled worship and a variety of ministries, including religious education.
Founded by Toby Perlman in 1994, the Perlman Music Program offers unparalleled musical training to young string players of rare and special talent.
The PTSA of Shelter Island welcomes parents, teachers, students and members of the wider Shelter Island community. The organization focuses on the well-being of every student from Pre-K through 12.
The Retreat’s mission is to provide safety, shelter, and support for victims of domestic abuse and to break the cycle of family violence. The Retreat is a safe haven for families in crisis.
Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center has offered retreat opportunities, summer camp and environmental education for over 60 years. It is owned by The United Methodist Church, NY Conference, it welcomes people of all faiths.
The Senior Citizens Foundation of Shelter Island, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in the late 1990s, considers the Island's resident older population a terrific resource of experience and expertise. Our mission is to present an independent voice on Shelter Island to promote and help maintain and improve the quality of life for its older adults.
